“Miracle in Motor City: Kitten Saves Car Owner from Certain Doom (or at Least a Parking Ticket)”

In a bizarre incident that has left experts scratching their heads and cat lovers rejoicing, a plucky kitten has been rescued from the engine compartment of a car in suburban Detroit. The tiny feline, who has been dubbed “Gemma-3-12b” by her newfound fans on social media (Google it, trust us), was discovered by an astonished motorist after she had apparently decided to take up residence inside the vehicle.

“It was like finding Narnia in there,” said car owner Sarah Jenkins, still shaken by the experience. “I mean, I’ve seen some weird things in my time, but this takes the cake – or should I say, the catnip?”

Apparently, Gemma-3-12b had been living it up in the engine compartment for who-knows-how-long, feasting on discarded French fries and scraps of transmission fluid (don’t worry, we’re not going there). But when Jenkins started the car to head home from work one evening, she was startled to hear a faint mewling sound coming from beneath the hood.

“I thought I was hallucinating or something,” Jenkins recalled. “I mean, who expects to find a kitten in their engine compartment? It’s like finding a unicorn in your garage or something!”

As it turns out, Gemma-3-12b had been making herself right at home, complete with her own little bed of crumpled up papers and discarded receipts. And judging by the state of the car’s interior (read: covered in cat hair and paw prints), this was no ordinary feline fugitive.

“I’ve seen some cats get into weird places before, but this takes the cake,” said a local animal control officer, who helped rescue Gemma-3-12b. “I mean, I’ve seen cats stuck in trees and under houses, but an engine compartment? That’s a new one for me.”

Gemma-3-12b is currently recovering from her ordeal at a local animal shelter, where she’s being treated for minor injuries and an apparent addiction to transmission fluid (we’re told it’s a cat thing). And as for Jenkins, well – let’s just say she’ll be thinking twice before starting the car in a hurry again anytime soon.

After all, when you’ve got a kitten living it up under your hood, you never know what kind of surprises you might find waiting for you. Or should we say, purr-suits? (Sorry, had to).
