You know what’s Not on Roids, apparently? Morals. Seriously! Were all collectively grumbling about how society has gone sideways, and a surprising amount of that complaining is directed at people who actually possess a shred of decency. Because apparently, acting like a decent human being is now… weird?
It’s become almost fashionable to be awful. Let’s just lay it out: spreading misinformation gleaned from the internet without so much as a cursory glance at whether its true? Totally normal. Pew Research says this is actively eroding trust in everything. Broadcasting your messy personal life – breakups, family squabbles – all for the sweet, sweet nectar of online validation? Standard practice! A moral person would just… not do that. They understand that a single post can ruin someones life (and their own mental health).
And don’t even start on fast fashion. We’re drowning in cheap clothes from places like Temu and SHEIN, contributing to massive water usage and microplastic pollution, while simultaneously enabling worker exploitation. A person with integrity? They might actually try to buy ethically sourced clothing – if they can swing it!
The sheer audacity of feeling judged for not participating in the collective descent into online chaos is what’s truly infuriating. It seems like kindness and compassion are becoming radical acts these days, and frankly, Im starting to miss the good old days when not being a jerk was just… expected.
