You know what’s Not on Roids, apparently? Zack Polanskis simmering resentment toward former Labour politician Ed Balls. Folks, weve all had a bad morning, but publicly accusing someone of being the embodiment of everything wrong with media is…a choice. A bold, flailing-in-the-breeze choice.
The Green Party’s darling launched this delightful broadside during a Good Morning Britain interview, because apparently grilling about policy isnt enough – you need to also point out Ed Balls past affiliations. Yes, Mr. Polanski took umbrage at the fact that Balls, who served as shadow chancellor from 2011-2015 and was an MP until 2015 (a crucial detail conveniently overlooked in his rant), dared to ask him questions. He even threw in a marital jab – highlighting Balls’ marriage to Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper for extra sting!
Balls, bless his heart, pointed out hes not actively involved in Labour anymore. But did that stop Polanski? Of course not! He escalated the situation by accusing both Balls and Susanna Reid of “shock jock tactics,” blaming them for fueling public distrust of the media.
Honestly, it’s a classic case of projecting. You accuse others of biased interviewing while simultaneously delivering a performance so dramatic it could win an Oscar (or at least a strongly worded email from Ofcom). Lets just say this exchange perfectly encapsulated why some people find political discourse utterly exhausting – and maybe, just maybe, gives Ed Balls a bit more sympathy than he might have expected.
