Hank, who gained infamy for breaking into homes in search of food and stealing anything edible in sight, has now turned over a new leaf, thanks to his time in the rehab centre. The centre, which specializes in rehabilitating bears who have become accustomed to human food, has been successful in turning him into a law-abiding citizen (or bear) once again.
Hank’s fellow inmates at the centre were heartbroken to see him go, with many bears shedding a paw of tears as he embarked on his journey to his new home. Hank, who has been fitted with a GPS tracker for his own safety, made the journey in a custom-made cage, complete with a personal chef who rustled up his favourite dishes of salmon and honey roast ham.
