**BREAKING: 104-Year-Old Woman’s Birthday Bash Ends in Handcuffs, Cake in Face**
In a shocking turn of events, Agnes Pembly, a feisty 104-year-old grandmother, celebrated her birthday in a most unconventional way: by getting arrested and thrown in the clink.
According to eyewitnesses, Pembly, who claims to be “still as spry as a spring chicken,” marked her special day by leading a group of seniors in a raucous protest against the local government’s decision to replace the town’s only ice cream truck with a “boring” electric vehicle.
Witnesses described the scene as “absolute chaos” as Pembly, donning a “Happy Birthday to Me” tiara, stood atop a soapbox, shouting slogans and waving a cane in the air.
“I told those authorities, ‘You can’t take away our ice cream! It’s the lifeblood of this community!'” Pembly exclaimed in a statement. “And then, those young whippersnappers had the nerve to cuff me and read me my rights!”
As police attempted to escort Pembly away, she allegedly resisted arrest, using her trusty cane to fend off officers and knocking over a nearby trash can in the process.
“I may be 104, but I’ve still got some fight left in me!” Pembly declared, as she was hauled off to the local jail.
Her birthday celebration continued behind bars, where Pembly reportedly demanded – and received – a special birthday cake, complete with 104 candles, which she promptly set off the fire alarm with.
When asked for comment, the police chief simply shook his head and muttered, “Only in this town…”
Pembly’s lawyer has since released a statement saying, “We will be filing a complaint for excessive use of force and demanding a full investigation into the alleged ‘abuse’ of a senior citizen’s right to ice cream.”
The town’s mayor has promised to look into the matter, but so far, no word on whether the ice cream truck will be making a comeback.
As for Pembly, she’s already planning next year’s birthday bash. “I’m going to make it even bigger and better,” she cackled from her jail cell. “I’ll show them what a real party looks like!”
