**BREAKING: Chaos Erupts at Vail Ski Resort as Car Takes Wrong Turn and Ends Up on Mountain Peak**
Vail, CO – In a jaw-dropping display of navigational ineptitude, a driver managed to strand their car on a ski slope at Vail Ski Resort yesterday, leaving a trail of bewilderment and hilarity in its wake.
According to eyewitnesses, the hapless driver, who wishes to remain anonymous (but let’s be real, they’re probably too embarrassed to show their face in public again), took a wrong turn and somehow ended up on the mountain, leaving a path of destruction and confusion in their wake.
“I was skiing down the mountain, minding my own business, when suddenly I heard a loud screeching sound,” said local skier, Jenny Johnson. “Next thing I knew, a car was careening down the mountain, leaving a cloud of snow and debris in its wake. I thought it was a yeti on wheels!”
The car, a shiny red sedan, somehow managed to navigate the switchbacks and ended up perched precariously on a steep slope, mere feet from a popular ski lift.
“I was skiing up the mountain when I saw this…this…thing,” said ski instructor, Mark Smith. “At first, I thought it was some kind of prank, but then I saw the look of panic on the driver’s face and I just burst out laughing. I mean, who tries to drive on a ski slope?”
Resort officials were quick to respond to the situation, dispatching a team of highly trained ski patrols and tow trucks to rescue the stranded vehicle.
“It was like something out of a movie,” said Vail Ski Resort spokesperson, Sarah Lee. “We’re just lucky no one was hurt, except for maybe the driver’s pride. And their car’s paint job. And possibly their insurance rates.”
The driver, who was shaken but unharmed, was taken into custody by local authorities and charged with “reckless endangerment of a ski slope” and “possession of a vehicle with a bad GPS system.”
As for the car, it’s currently being held in a special “ski-slope parking lot” pending further investigation and possibly a hefty fine.
When asked for comment, the driver simply shook their head and muttered, “I thought it said ‘ scenic route’…”
**UPDATE:** The driver has since been banned from Vail Ski Resort for life and forced to attend a ” Skiing 101″ course to learn the basics of mountain navigation.
