Atlanta Tattoo Studios Collaborate to Hail Takeoff’s Record Breaking Success!

In a stunning throwback to the 90s, Atlanta tattoo studios have partnered up to bring to life a humongous tattoo that measures 79 sq.ft and 6 sq.in. If that number seems too big to wrap your head around, just imagine a small studio apartment or a basketball court for a more accurate visual representation.

The tattoo paid homage to Takeoff, one-third of the rap group Migos, and accomplished what seemed like the impossible – a Guinness World Record. We caught up with one of the artists involved in the project, who was absolutely ecstatic about the record-breaking success.

“It’s an absolute honor for me and the team to collaborate on something as historic as this. Takeoff deserves all the recognition he can get, and what better way to showcase his impact than by making a tattoo of this magnitude?”

It’s no surprise to anyone who knows the rap scene that Takeoff is a staple of Georgia’s music. His influence goes beyond his lyrics, and so naturally, the best way to celebrate this was through an enormous tattoo, right? Because nothing screams dedication quite like permanently inking yourself with not just one, but three guys who you might not even know personally.

The tattoo had various references to Takeoff’s music career, featuring lyrics from his infamous chart-toppers and portraits of the rapper himself. Ironically enough, the tattoo didn’t include any lyrics from his latest album, but why bother when you can highlight the vintage hits?

Of course, what would a team accomplishment be without a little friendly competition? It turns out that the team’s design wasn’t initially intended to break a world record, but when they realized they were close, they decided to go for it.

“I mean, why settle for just a big tattoo when you can smash a Guinness World Record? It was a no-brainer if you ask me,” quipped one of the artists involved in the record-breaking achievement.

As a result, the team took six hours and a whopping 250 ink cartridges to complete the tattoo, which is longer than the average workday in many careers. But hey, who needs practicality when you’re creating history, right?

Some might say it’s effortless to jump on the bandwagon and get a tattoo of something trendy or relevant. But this team of tattoo artists showed what it truly takes to demonstrate how much admiration you have for a rapper. Namely, a team of artists, gallons of ink, a Guinness World Record, and six hours of your life that you’ll never get back. We can only hope Takeoff is as thrilled with the tattoo as the Atlanta tattoo studios.

Overall, what could be more important than showcasing your love for a rapper through a massive tattoo of their likeness? Absolutely nothing, and no one can tell us differently.
