Oklahoma Trooper Stunned by Encounter with Shiny, Unidentifiable Flying Object
Oklahoma highways are well-known for two things: endless fields of wheat and the occasional high-speed car chase. But, on this particular day, a state trooper had a close encounter that would make H.G. Wells blush.
The trooper, who wishes to remain anonymous (we understand, aliens are scary), was simply doing his job, idling by the side of the road and waiting for someone to break the speed limit so he could give them a stern talking to. However, he soon noticed something that made him do a double-take.
An object, hovering a few feet off the ground, was coming towards him. At first, he thought it was a drone, but upon closer inspection, he realised that this was something far stranger. It was round, metallic, and shimmering in the sunlight, but there was no way to determine its size or weight. It was a true Unidentified Flying Object.
Our brave hero decided to spring into action, pulling out his trusty radar gun and aiming it at the object. Thankfully, it wasn’t traveling at an illegal speed (it’s good to know intergalactic travelers obey the rules of the road), so he had no choice but to pull it over.
The object came to a stop in front of him and, to his surprise, opened up like some kind of spaceship or something. Out stepped an alien with large, black, almond-shaped eyes, and matching jumpsuit. The trooper was understandably dumbfounded.
“Can I see your license and registration?” he asked, after a moment of stunned silence.
The alien replied with some blabbering gibberish that the trooper didn’t understand, but he could tell that the alien didn’t have any identification on him. Not that it mattered, at this point. The whole situation was as ridiculous as it was mind-blowing.
After trying to hold a conversation with the extraterrestrial for a little while (the usual small talk, like “where you from?” and “how’d you learn to fly that thing?”), the trooper realised that he needed to call for back-up. Luckily, the alien seemed friendly enough, but there was no way of knowing what he, or his strange vehicle, was capable of.
In the end, it took three squad cars, a helicopter, and two ambulances to contain the situation. The local news stations picked up on the story and, before the day was out, the whole world knew about the Oklahoma Trooper’s run-in with the unknown.
Some might argue that the trooper overreacted, or he could have just let the alien go with a warning, but he did what he thought was best to protect the people of Oklahoma. Who knows what kind of havoc that alien could have wreaked if left unchecked?
In any case, the trooper is being hailed as a hero for his bravery in facing down the unknown. In fact, he’s been invited to speak at a convention for UFO enthusiasts next weekend in Tulsa. The future’s uncertain, but one thing’s for sure: this trooper will never forget the day he pulled over a UFO.
