Thailand – Passengers on an AirAsia flight from Bangkok to Phuket were thrilled with the unexpected addition to their flight crew on Tuesday, after a snake was spotted slithering out of a overhead compartment mid-air.
According to reports, the snake, believed to be a non-venomous reticulated python, was discovered during the flight and was quickly contained by flight attendants who bravely snapped photos and videos of the stowaway reptile.
Passenger Robert Chan was one of the first to spot the creature, and described it as one of the most exciting moments of his life.
“I always say that flying can be a bit boring, but this snake added a real element of excitement to my journey. It was amazing to see it just casually glide out of the overhead compartment like it owned the place.”
AirAsia has not yet issued a statement on the incident, but passengers remain hopeful that snakes could become a regular addition to their flights.
Some even believe that the airline should consider offering them their very own seats and meals, to ensure they receive the same comfort and treatment as human passengers.
The snake has since been turned over to local authorities and is currently being held in a luxurious terrarium where it is reported to be receiving top-notch care and treatment.
Twitter users around the world were quick to weigh in on the story, with many praising the snake for its bravery and resourcefulness.
One user suggested that the snake should be awarded with its very own AirAsia frequent flyer card, while others called for it to be made the airline’s official mascot.
Meanwhile, others expressed disappointment that they had not been lucky enough to share a flight with a snake, and demanded that AirAsia incorporate more wildlife into their customer experience.
While the snake’s presence may have been unexpected, it’s clear that it added a much-needed touch of excitement and adventure to an otherwise mundane flight. Who knows what other surprises AirAsia has in store for its passengers, but for now, we’re sure that the slithering stowaway will be the talk of the aviation industry for quite some time.
