Wisconsin McDonald’s becomes a fully operational delivery room as baby waits for no one.
We’ve all heard of fast food, but this is ridiculous. A mother in Wisconsin was in for a surprise when she went into labor in the middle of her Big Mac craving and couldn’t make it to the hospital. It seems that this baby had zero chill and was not willing to wait for anyone or anything.
The baby’s parents were on their way to the hospital when the baby decided that it was time to say “hello world”. They pulled into the McDonald’s parking lot in a frantic attempt to find some assistance. Lucky for them, there was a hero on hand to help deliver the baby.
One of the managers at the McDonald’s in Dousman was kind enough to lend a hand and assist in the delivery of the baby boy. It’s unclear if this is now a new service offered by McDonald’s or if the manager was just feeling extra helpful that day.
The mother was clearly in shock but was grateful for the assistance. “I never thought in a million years I’d be having a baby at McDonald’s,” said the mother in an interview. “But I’m so grateful to the staff for helping us.”
The baby boy arrived healthy and happy but probably in a bit of a rush. He will forever be known as the “McBaby” and will probably have a lifetime supply of Big Macs waiting for him when he’s old enough to chew.
The staff at McDonald’s should be commended for their quick thinking and their willingness to assist in the delivery of a baby. Although it raises some interesting questions about what else McDonald’s could potentially deliver in their parking lots. Are we going to see a “McWedding” service in the near future? Only time will tell.
This isn’t the first time that a baby has made an unexpected arrival in a less than conventional location. Earlier this year, a baby was born on an airplane, which just goes to show that babies truly wait for no one.
The fact that this baby was born in a McDonald’s parking lot just adds to the mythos of this fast food giant. What other surprises do they have in store for us? Is Ronald McDonald secretly some sort of magical baby whisperer? Can you order a side of placenta with your fries?
In all seriousness, we’re glad that this mother and baby are healthy and happy. Maybe this experience will inspire McDonald’s to start selling baby onesies or offering delivery room services. We can only wait and see what the future holds for this fast food empire.
