Delightful Canine Saves the Day by Eating Envelope Loaded with Cash
A Pittsburgh couple is indebted to their furry four-legged companion after their dog did them a solid and consumed an envelope containing a small fortune in cash. Owners Patrick and Aileen Pugh were understandably beside themselves when they realized that their pup, an English Springer Spaniel named Enzo, had devoured $4,000 in cash sent to them by Aileen’s mom. But thanks to the pooch’s unwavering stomach, the couple was able to recover the majority of their moolah after a little bit of poop-scooping.
According to the exuberant couple, Enzo had a notorious history of getting into things he shouldn’t that might be in his reach — everything from shoes to socks to dinner scraps. However, the passionate pooch had never gnawed away on anything quite so expensive. So when they realized their money had disappeared from their safe, the couple was pretty sure that either someone broke in and pocketed the dough or, well, something else.
Patrick and Aileen came to grips with what they believed was their fate and hunkered down to work. However, after Enzo made a trip to the potty, what they saw in the backyard gave them hope.
