As October rolls in, spooky season enthusiasts across the country are bringing out their plastic skeletons, cobwebs, and pumpkin spice candles. But some residents in New York and Ohio have taken their Halloween decorations to a whole new level by celebrating America’s sweetheart, Taylor Swift.

In New York, one house in the affluent neighborhood of Tribeca has a front yard adorned with cardboard cutouts of different eras of Taylor Swift. From “Shake It Off” era Taylor to her most recent folklore aesthetic, the display covers every album the pop star has released. Along with the cutouts, there are elaborate light displays and Halloween-themed decorations that pay homage to Swift’s music videos and lyrics.

“It’s just so great to see someone like Taylor Swift finally get the recognition she deserves on Halloween,” gushed one fan to the press. “I mean, sure, we could have gone with the typical scary stuff, but we really wanted to celebrate the queen of pop.”

Over in Ohio, a group of Swifties collaborated to create a Taylor Swift-inspired haunted house. The spooky attraction has rooms dedicated to different eras of Swift’s career, complete with props and costumes matching each era. Fans can take a tour through “Reputation” era Taylor’s snake-infested lair or dance to “1989” era Taylor’s glittering pop hits in a neon-lit room.

“I honestly think this haunted house is scarier than any stereotypical ghost or zombie theme,” stated one Taylor Swift fan. “The thought of not being able to listen to ‘All Too Well’ on repeat for an entire day is truly horrifying.”

While the displays may be impressive, some are criticizing the over-the-top celebrations for not embodying the true spirit of Halloween.

“We get it, Taylor Swift is talented and popular, but Halloween should be about spooky ghost stories and scary costumes, not cardboard cutouts of a pop star,” said one frustrated local. “I mean, why not dress up as a zombie Taylor Swift or something at least?”

Others believe that the celebrations are simply a testament to the devoted fanbase Taylor Swift has built over the years.

“Taylor Swift fans are some of the most dedicated in the world, and it shows in these Halloween displays,” noted one pop culture commentator. “It’s just a testament to her ability to connect with her fans on a deeper level than most musicians.”

As Halloween continues to approach, it seems that Taylor Swift’s presence will only grow stronger in the minds of her fans. Some may argue that it’s not what the holiday is about, but for these Swifties, it’s simply another way to show their love and appreciation for their favorite artist.
