ANCHORAGE, ALASKA – In a shocking display of disregard for human rules and etiquette, a young bear cub was caught on camera shopping for its own produce at a Safeway grocery store in Juneau last week.
According to eyewitnesses, the cub was spotted casually perusing the selection of fruits and vegetables like a seasoned shopper, completely unfazed by the human staff and customers bustling around it. The bear even appeared to have its own shopping list, as it carefully sniffed and tasted each item before deciding on a few select pieces of produce to take home.
“I couldn’t believe my eyes,” said Martha Johnson, a regular customer at the Safeway. “This little bear cub was just wandering around like it owned the place, picking out its own groceries like it was no big deal. It was hilarious and terrifying at the same time.”
News of the bear’s antics quickly spread online, with many people joking that the cub must have been a local celebrity or social media influencer who needed to maintain its healthy diet for the sake of its brand. Others speculated that the bear might be part of a secret society of animal activists who are trying to prove a point about the wastefulness and excess of human consumerism.
However, not everyone was amused by the bear’s antics. Some local residents expressed concern for the cub’s safety, pointing out that its behavior was a clear sign that it had become too accustomed to human presence and could be a danger to itself and others.
