Local Car Wash Workers Amazed to Find a Wild Critter Trapped in Customer’s Bumper

Early this morning, the employees at a car wash station in Indiana were in for a surprise when they spotted something unusual stuck in the front bumper of a customer’s car. Upon closer inspection, they realised that it was a groundhog – an adorable, furry animal native to the American Midwest.

The staff at the car wash were quick to act, calling animal control and a local veterinary clinic to help remove the critter from the car. As word spread about the incident, several animal rights groups also showed up to offer their help.

“I’ve seen a lot of things stuck in car bumpers in my time, but this is definitely a first,” said one of the employees, visibly shocked by the discovery. “I mean, who would imagine that a groundhog would be crazy enough to hide in a car bumper?”

The customer, who had dropped off the car for a routine wash, was equally taken aback by the discovery. “I had no idea there was a groundhog in my car,” he said, looking at the trapped animal with a mixture of awe and confusion. “I guess I’ve been driving around with him for quite some time.”

According to animal experts, groundhogs are known to be skilled burrowers and climbers, and can often be found scurrying around residential areas in rural and suburban parts of the country. However, they are not typically known for hiding in car bumpers, making this incident all the more surprising.

“The fact that this little guy survived all the way from wherever he came from to end up in this car is pretty remarkable,” said a member of the local animal control team. “It just goes to show how resilient these creatures can be.”

As word of the stuck groundhog spread, it quickly became the talk of the town, with people taking to social media to share their thoughts.

“Who needs Disney World when we’ve got a car wash that’s finding endangered species,” commented one user, while another quipped, “Looks like this groundhog was trying to hitchhike its way out of Indiana.”

Despite the unusual situation, the car wash staff managed to remove the groundhog from the bumper unharmed, setting it free in a nearby park. As for the car owner, he was just happy to have his car back – and sans groundhog.

“This has been quite the morning,” he said, chuckling. “I guess I’ll be checking my car bumper a bit more closely from now on.”
