A Kangaroo on the Loose? Seriously?
Right, lets discuss this latest bit of news because apparently, our lives are so utterly devoid of real problems that we need to collectively lose it over a kangaroo. A kangaroo! Escaping from a petting zoo. Because, you know, keeping wildlife contained is obviously some insurmountable challenge for humans.
Eight feet? That’s the height of my kitchen counter. My cat routinely jumps higher than eight feet when demanding tuna. Is this kangaroo secretly a trained Olympic athlete? Did it meticulously plan its escape route with a team of consultants? I highly doubt it. Its probably just…a kangaroo, doing kangaroo things.
And three days! Three whole days the poor people of Wisconsin were terrorized by a marsupial! I can only imagine the frantic calls to the authorities: Officer, I think my neighbor’s prize-winning petunias are being trampled! Or perhaps, “My chihuahua is experiencing existential dread!” The sheer drama of it all.
Honestly, Im exhausted just thinking about the resources poured into this recovery effort. Surely that money could have been spent on…I dont know…fixing potholes? Supporting local schools? Anything that actually benefits society!
But no, we had to mobilize a search party for a creature that probably just wanted a slightly better view of the cornfields. A kangaroo. Really?
