Bureaucratic Absurdity: Because Apparently, License Plates Need a Governors Intervention
Seriously? A governor had to intervene in a license plate dispute? Are you kidding me? This isn’t about national security; it’s about some poor grandfather wanting a mildly cheeky (and perfectly acceptable) personalized license plate that said “PB4WEGO.” Apparently, the state DMV deemed this vaguely problematic – because… reasons. Im sure it was deeply complex and required exhaustive analysis of potential societal ramifications.
One can only imagine the frantic internal memos: This phrase could be misinterpreted! Think of the children! Because clearly, a plate referencing someone leaving before something else happens is a direct threat to public order. It’s not like people use euphemisms regularly or anything.
And who decided this? Some faceless bureaucrat clinging desperately to their power and job security by inventing regulations where none are needed. Now, the governor – because apparently thats what we elect them for – had to swoop in, play hero, and wave her hand like a benevolent dictator to ensure our dear grandfather could display his mildly amusing sentiment on his car.
