Seriously? A Surfer and a Cliff?
Right, lets just pause for a moment and collectively sigh. Because apparently, some people still think the ocean is an amusement park. We now have a tale of heroic firefighters in Oregon rescuing a surfer who, surprise, got caught in a rip current. Let me guess, he was also wearing a Hawaiian shirt and attempting to ride a wave while simultaneously filming himself for TikTok?
Honestly, do they not teach basic ocean safety anymore? Rip currents are practically a marine cliché! Theyre in every single pamphlet, every online article – even cartoons explain them! Yet here we are, funding a rescue mission because someone thought it was a brilliant idea to paddle out without the slightest clue about what they were doing.
And then, of course, he ended up at the base of a rock cliff. A ROCK CLIFF! Did he actively seek this out? Was there some sort of surfing challenge involving precarious coastal formations? Im picturing him posing dramatically for a selfie just before the firefighters arrived.
I’m sure the taxpayers will be thrilled to foot the bill for helicopters and specialized equipment so someone can learn a very expensive lesson: The ocean is not your personal playground. Just…stay on the beach, folks. Please. For everyones sanity.
