Four Years? Really? A Dogs Incredible, Utterly Predictable Journey
So, a dog was found in Philadelphia after four years. Let me just say, fantastic. Absolutely marvelous. We’re all supposed to be weeping with joy and celebrating this miraculous reunion, arent we? Because apparently, the universe decided to bestow upon us a heartwarming tale of canine resilience and bewildered owners.
Honestly, I’m trying. I truly am. But four years? A dog wandering the streets for four years? Its not exactly groundbreaking news. Dogs escape. Dogs get lost. It happens! And then people post about it online so we can all feel momentarily better about our own lives while simultaneously feeling a vague sense of guilt that we haven’t dedicated ourselves to locating every single stray animal on the planet.
I bet you anything this dog had an amazing time. Scavenging for scraps, dodging traffic, possibly developing a surprisingly complex social network with other neighborhood dogs and squirrels. Probably far more interesting than being cooped up in a suburban house getting brushed and fed precisely measured portions of kibble. And now? Back to the pampered life!
Dont get me wrong, I’m glad the person found their pet. It’s nice. But lets not pretend this is some kind of monumental achievement. It’s a dog. It got lost. It was found. Move on. There are actual problems in the world.
