Atlantas MARTA Pilgrimage: Because Apparently, We Have Nothing Better To Do
Seriously? A group of people decided to sprint through every single MARTA station in Atlanta? In record time? As if our collective lives are so desperately lacking in purpose that we need to witness the glorious feat of someone hopping on and off a train at North Avenue, West End, and Hamilton Station with unsettling speed. I can only assume they were attempting to break some obscure, deeply niche record for… what exactly? Bragging rights about being marginally faster than your average commuter rushing to avoid a late fee?
Its just…peak absurdity. While Atlanta struggles with affordable housing, crumbling infrastructure outside of the rail lines, and the general existential dread that comes with living in a rapidly changing metropolis, these intrepid adventurers were busy documenting their journey across platforms. Did they stop to appreciate the questionable artwork? Engage with the weary travelers? No! They conquered. They achieved. They presumably took photos for Instagram.
And now were supposed to celebrate this… achievement? I’m pretty sure my commute involves traversing more MARTA stations than these folks did in their meticulously planned blitz, and I certainly wouldn’t consider that worthy of a news article. I need another cup of coffee.
