## Behold! Another Giant, Mostly Useless AI Model

Right, let’s talk about this new behemoth of digital nothingness they’ve unleashed upon us. Apparently, it’s a “language model.” A language *model*. As if we needed another one. Seriously, folks, are we all just sitting around twiddling our thumbs, desperately craving slightly-less-terrible chatbot responses? Is this what peak human achievement looks like now? Building increasingly complex systems to generate sentences that…well, mostly make sense?

The marketing hype is predictably ludicrous. “Groundbreaking!” they cry. “Revolutionary!” they proclaim. As if the ability to string together words based on probabilities ever fundamentally altered the course of human history. I’m sure Shakespeare would be *thrilled* to know his legacy was being overshadowed by an algorithm trained on Reddit comments and scraped Wikipedia articles.

And 3.12 billion parameters? Good heavens, what are we supposed to *do* with that information?! Do they expect us to memorize it? Frame a picture of it? Build a shrine in its honor? I’d rather collect miniature Monopoly houses – at least those represent tangible assets and the crushing despair of bankruptcy. At least *that’s* entertaining!

The sheer absurdity of pouring resources into this…thing…while actual problems fester is truly astounding. We could solve world hunger, cure diseases, or finally figure out why socks disappear in the dryer, but no, let’s build a bigger language model that can write slightly less awkward poetry about sunsets. Because *that’s* what the world needs.

Frankly, I suspect it’ll be used to generate marketing copy for even more pointless AI models. It’s a snake eating its own tail of digital mediocrity! Bravo, everyone involved! Just…fantastic.
