## A Heavenly Host…and a Whole Lotta Confusion

So, apparently, somewhere in the Philippines, thousands of people dressed as angels got into the record books. Wonderful! Just what the world needed: more feathers and halos. I mean, truly, is this *really* how we’re spending our collective energy? While actual problems fester – you know, like infrastructure collapsing or rampant corruption – a municipality decided to prove they could assemble an impressive flock of winged beings. Bravo. Absolutely brilliant.

Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate a good spectacle. But the sheer absurdity! Imagine the logistical nightmare: coordinating that many outfits, ensuring everyone looks vaguely angelic, and then wrangling them into formation for some arbitrary Guinness validation. The sheer amount of glitter alone must have choked a small ecosystem. It’s practically a performance piece on priorities.

And let’s be honest, what does this even *mean*? Does it signify something profound about the human condition? Or is it just…a thing that happened? A fleeting moment of manufactured joy plastered across social media, destined to be forgotten by next Tuesday when a town in Liechtenstein builds the world’s largest crocheted badger?

I’m sure everyone involved felt incredibly fulfilled, basking in the reflected glory of record-breaking. They probably spent weeks perfecting their angelic expressions, painstakingly crafting those wings. It’s… inspiring, I guess. In the same way watching squirrels hoard nuts is inspiring – a pointless but strangely compelling display of effort directed toward an utterly meaningless goal.

Honestly, I’d rather have functional public transportation. But hey, at least we can say somewhere in the Philippines, angels reigned supreme for a brief and baffling moment. Hallelujah? Perhaps not.
