## Oh Joy, Another “Revolution” in AI (Because We Clearly Needed More)

Right. Let’s talk about this… *thing*. This 3-12 billion parameter language model everyone’s losing their collective minds over. Apparently, it’s a paradigm shift. A leap forward. The next logical step in the inevitable march of artificial intelligence replacing us all with perfectly formatted poetry and incredibly polite demands for our data. You know, just what we were waiting for.

Seriously? Another large language model? Are we *really* celebrating this? It’s like unveiling a slightly shinier toaster oven and declaring it the dawn of a new culinary era. We already have… well, let’s be honest, mountains of these things! Each one promising to unlock secrets of the universe while simultaneously generating incredibly convincing fake news about hamsters piloting spacecraft.

And the excitement! The breathless pronouncements about “open access” and “community contribution.” Oh, how generous! Like a corporation suddenly deciding to share its toys after realizing it can squeeze just slightly fewer pennies from them. It’s all so beautifully curated, isn’t it? A PR dream machine designed to distract us from the underlying… well, I don’t know *what* underlies this particular creation, but I’m sure it involves a lot of electricity and even more carefully worded disclaimers about its potential for misuse.

Frankly, I’m exhausted by the constant need for these “breakthroughs.” Can’t we just go back to enjoying actual human connection? Reading a *book* written by a person with feelings? But no. We must have the next slightly improved algorithm! Because apparently, that’s what truly matters now. Just another python squeezed into a barbecue grill, requiring someone (a very skilled snake catcher, presumably) to dismantle it piece-by-piece to get it out – all for the sake of… progress? I think I need a nap.
