## Oh Joy, Another Technological Marvel We Didn’t Ask For

Honestly? Just *fantastic*. Because what we all desperately needed was *another* large language model. Seriously, the world wasn’t overflowing with them already! Apparently, some folks decided to birth this…this *thing*, 3-12b in size – because apparently numbers matter when you’re bragging about artificial intelligence. It’s supposed to be open source, which is just a fancy way of saying “we unleashed this onto the internet and now we can feign responsibility while everyone else deals with it.”

The marketing materials are dripping with breathless pronouncements about “performance” and “accessibility.” Accessibility? To whom? The AI enthusiasts who already have supercomputers in their garages? I’m pretty sure my grandma just wants to send an email without accidentally ordering a lifetime supply of cat sweaters.

And “performance”? Please. It’s trained on mountains of data, regurgitating information it absorbed from somewhere else. Original thought is apparently still a human trait – for now, anyway. We’re building machines that mimic intelligence so effectively we’ll all soon be obsolete. Wonderful! Just what I wanted to hear while struggling to pay my bills and navigate the complexities of modern existence.

It’s all just so… predictable. Another flash in the pan, another overhyped piece of software destined to be forgotten in six months when something even *more* impressively pointless comes along. Bravo. Truly groundbreaking. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go yell at a cloud – it feels surprisingly relevant right now.
