**BREAKING: PIG ON THE LOOSE!**
In a daring drama that has left residents of rural Pennsylvania in stitches, a curly-haired pig named Percy made a break for it yesterday evening, escaping from a trailer on I-81 and bringing traffic to a standstill.
Eyewitnesses described the scene as “absolute pandemonium” as Percy, a 3-year-old pot-bellied pig with a flair for the dramatic, made a beeline for freedom, dodging cars and trucks with his signature curly locks bouncing behind him.
“I was driving to get a soft pretzel and suddenly, out of nowhere, this pig comes barreling across the highway, oinking and snorting like a boss,” said local resident, Agnes Jenkins. “I slammed on my brakes and nearly spilled my coffee, but I couldn’t help but laugh at the sight of that pig’s funky hairdo!”
Percy, who had been traveling with his owner, a local farmer, was being transported to a petting zoo when he made his great escape. Authorities report that the pig’s curly locks were so mesmerizing that they distracted a tractor-trailer driver, causing him to swerve into a nearby cornfield.
“It was like he was trying to get away from the paparazzi or something!” exclaimed Pennsylvania State Trooper, Bob Smith. “I’ve never seen anything like it. That pig was like a Houdini on hooves!”
A massive rescue effort ensued, with multiple emergency responders and animal control officers working together to corral the wayward pig. After a thrilling chase that lasted over an hour, Percy was finally coaxed into a nearby field, where he was treated to a hero’s welcome – and a plate of his favorite snacks.
“I guess you could say Percy was just trying to get his 15 minutes of fame,” said farmer, John Doe. “But honestly, I’m just glad he’s safe and sound. And I have to admit, his curly hair is pretty stylish – maybe I’ll start a new trend in pig grooming!”
Percy has been returned to his relieved owner, and the highway has been reopened. But locals are still buzzing about the Great Pig Escape of 2023 – and the pig with the most epic curls in the county!
