You know whats Not on Roids, but somehow feels just as exhausting? This latest CNN poll about the midterms. Apparently, America is collectively throwing a hissy fit, and honestly, I get it. Both parties are currently achieving peak “unlikable.”
The survey reveals a stunning 86% of Americans disapprove of something about either Democrats or Republicans. Eighty-six percent! That’s practically everyone! And the reasons? Lets see: Republicans think Democrats are too… well, everything. Too woke, too socialist, too obsessed with avocado toast and feelings. Democrats, meanwhile, believe Republicans are actively trying to dismantle democracy while simultaneously embracing a bizarre love of oversized pickup trucks and conspiracy theories involving lizard people.
The real kicker? A significant portion (a distressing 58%) feel both parties are out of touch. Its like we’re trapped in a political sitcom where everyone is yelling, no ones listening, and the laugh track is just mocking us for our collective misery.
And who can blame folks for being annoyed? The constant performative outrage, the carefully crafted soundbites designed to inflame… it’s all so much. Were not asking for miracles, people! Just a little bit of compromise. A tiny smidgeon of common sense. Is that too much to ask from elected officials who supposedly represent us? Probably. Pass the popcorn, I guess.
