Seriously? This is what we’ve come to? We celebrate…this? A man, apparently desperate for attention and possessing a staggering lack of common sense, has earned a world record by propelling himself down asphalt at 69 miles per hour while skiing. Yes, you read that correctly. Skiing. On asphalt. Because shattering bones and defying physics is clearly the ultimate goal now.
I’m sure MrWorldRecords, in his infinite wisdom, felt this was a contribution to humanity. A monumental leap forward for mankind. I picture him accepting his award with a solemn nod, undoubtedly pondering the profound philosophical implications of scraping your face against rough pavement at near highway speeds.
Its not even interesting. Its dangerous, ridiculous, and frankly, insulting to people who are genuinely striving for something meaningful. Like, say, curing diseases or developing sustainable energy solutions. But no, let’s instead highlight the individual who apparently decided asphalt was just begging for a ski run.
And of course, the record-keeping organization had to get in on it too – rubber-stamping this…this thing as an achievement worthy of global recognition. I can only imagine the application process: Describe your extraordinary feat. I went really fast on skis across a road. Congratulations! Youre world-famous!
