Another Celestial Spectacle? Really?!
Seriously? A bright green fireball? Over the Pacific Northwest? Are we being subjected to another manufactured moment of awe? Because frankly, Im getting a little tired of these natural wonders popping up with alarming regularity. It’s like someone in marketing decided that collective gasps are the new advertising metric.
I mean, dont get me wrong, space rocks exploding over our heads should be impressive. But the breathless reporting! The amateur astronomers practically falling over themselves to capture the perfect pixelated image for Instagram! It all just feels…curated. Like a giant cosmic screensaver designed to distract us from, you know, actual problems.
And lets not even start on the inevitable experts chiming in with their profound pronouncements about trajectory and composition, as if understanding the exact chemical makeup of burning space debris is somehow going to solve climate change or reduce income inequality.
Fine, enjoy your fleeting moment of cosmic wonder. Just please, for the love of all thats remotely interesting, can we have some news about something real next? Like, I don’t know, a breakthrough in affordable housing or maybe someone finally figuring out how to make socks that actually stay up. A green fireball is lovely, but it doesnt pay the bills.
