Kittens and Cars: Because Humanity Needs More Heartwarming Stories
Seriously? Kittens. In a car engine. Rescued. In California. Is this what we’ve come to? A constant barrage of saccharine narratives designed to momentarily distract us from, you know, the actual crumbling state of the world? Im sure these kittens are adorable – tiny fluffballs clinging desperately for survival – but do we really need another story about them?
It’s just… predictable. Like clockwork. Someone finds something remotely cute, and suddenly it’s international news! Forget climate change, forget political corruption, forget the fact that basic human decency seems to be vanishing faster than free avocado toast – lets celebrate these furry little escape artists instead.
I bet there was a press release. A fundraising campaign is already underway, no doubt. Help us provide specialized kitten care! they’ll cry. Because apparently, regular cat food and a cardboard box arent sufficient for kittens who have briefly resided in the mechanical bowels of an automobile.
And dont even get me started on the inevitable parade of photos – blurry, poorly lit shots of tiny paws reaching out for salvation. We are drowning in kitten pictures! It’s an epidemic! I need a detox from cuteness overload, immediately.
Honestly, can we please focus on something slightly less… predictable? Something with a little more grit? A little less purring and a little more actual consequence?
