A Goldfish Driving? Seriously?!
Are we really doing this now? I just read an article about a Dutch engineer who built a car… for his goldfish. Yes, you heard that right. A tiny, presumably expensive, automobile designed to be piloted by a creature whose primary activities involve swimming in circles and staring blankly. And get this – it broke a world record! A world record for goldfish-driven vehicles! I mean, what even IS that?
Im genuinely struggling to comprehend the level of dedication – or frankly, madness – required to pursue such an endeavor. While I appreciate innovation (and let’s be honest, sometimes ridiculousness), this feels like a monumental waste of time and resources. Did anyone stop to think about anything else? Like, world hunger? Climate change? The impending doom of… well, everything? No! Lets build a car for a goldfish!
And the fact that it drove 40 feet in one minute is just… pathetic. Forty feet! My grandma walks faster than that with her walker, and she’s eighty-seven! We’re celebrating this absurdity as an achievement? I suspect someone simply nudged the little car forward while Blub goggled at them blankly.
Frankly, its insulting to actual engineers who are working on solving real problems. This isnt ingenuity; it’s a spectacle designed for fleeting internet attention and bragging rights. Give me a break.
