Seriously? Cows loose in Frederick County? Is this a sitcom now? Apparently, livestock hauling – a profession that should involve, you know, keeping livestock contained – is apparently open to anyone who can operate a large truck and possesses the spatial reasoning skills of a particularly confused squirrel. Forty cows! Forty! Wandering around like theyre auditioning for a rural remake of The Walking Dead.
And let’s not even get started on the logistics. Roads closed? Farmers scrambling? The inevitable traffic jams caused by bewildered bovines attempting to cross Route 50? This isn’t charming, folks; this is chaos born from sheer, breathtaking incompetence. You transport hundreds of pounds of animal – animals, I might add, that possess a distinct instinct for wandering off – and expect everything to just stay in the trailer?
Im sure the hauler had it all under control. Probably meticulously calculated the angle of the ramps, the tensile strength of the latches, the bovine susceptibility to interpretive dance routines designed to keep them calm. Right.
This isn’t a news story; it’s a cautionary tale. A testament to the fact that some jobs simply require more than minimal training and a prayer. Now if youll excuse me, I need to check my pasture for rogue bovines. Wouldn’t want to end up in the evening news myself.
