Seriously? A skier, slips, and then proceeds to dangle from a chairlift like some sort of pathetic, snow-dusted ornament? Is this what weve come to? I mean, I understand gravity exists. It’s been a rather consistent force since, you know, the beginning of time. But apparently, comprehending that basic principle is now an optional extra for anyone attempting to navigate a mountain on planks.
And the pictures! Don’t even get me started on the photos circulating online. Everyone with a smartphone suddenly thinks theyre a photojournalist capturing history in the making. No, youre documenting someone’s profoundly embarrassing moment of near-disaster, and then broadcasting it to the world for our collective amusement.
I suppose we should all be grateful he didnt plummet to his doom. But honestly, the sheer absurdity of the situation is enough to induce a migraine. It’s not even an exciting dangle! Just…limp. Unremarkable. A testament to a distinct lack of situational awareness and perhaps a questionable understanding of footwear.
I bet there were plenty of safety briefings given that morning too. Pay attention, folks! they probably said. Watch your footing! Clearly, those words landed with the impact of snowflakes on pavement. Just…fantastic.
