Seriously? Cows on the Thruway?!
Are you kidding me right now? I’m sitting in traffic, inching along at a speed that would make a snail look speedy, and why? Because apparently, bovine freedom is more important than my commute! Yes, folks, escaped cows. Cows. Blocking the New York State Thruway. In 2024.
I mean, what is this, a scene from a badly-written childrens book? Did they just decide to stage a mass breakout for kicks and giggles? I picture them gathering in a field somewhere, plotting their escape route like a group of hardened criminals. Alright team, one says, We’re hitting the Thruway! Moo-ve fast!
And now everyone is delayed. Everyone! Important business meetings missed, dinners ruined, precious minutes of life wasted staring at…cows. Majestic, yes. But also monumentally inconvenient.
Im sure there are heartwarming stories to be told about the bravery of the rescuers and the adorable nature of the escaped livestock. I’m not interested. I just want to get home! Is it too much to ask that farm animals stay on farms? Apparently, it is. This isnt some quirky news item; this is a blatant disregard for the time and sanity of everyone else traveling today. Honestly, next thing you know squirrels will be holding up the Metro-North.
