Right, let’s just pause for a moment and collectively question our life choices. Apparently, weve reached peak internet absurdity. Because, you know, geopolitical crises are fading from memory, climate change can wait, and the economy is clearly stable enough that we need to focus on…a kitten with four ears. In Alabama.
I’m not kidding. This tiny creature, a fosterling apparently deemed worthy of viral stardom because it has two extra appendages poking out of its head, has somehow captured the collective attention of the online masses. We’re all supposed to be charmed by this? Im finding it deeply unsettling. Is this what we do now? Celebrate genetic anomalies as if they are heartwarming achievements?
I’m sure the kitten is perfectly lovely. It probably purrs and does cute little kitten things. But its existence doesnt change anything about the actual, pressing problems facing humanity. Yet here we are, sharing memes and cooing over a four-eared feline while wildfires rage and politicians…well, you know.
Honestly, I’m starting to suspect that algorithms are actively designed to distract us from any semblance of reality. A kitten! With extra ears! Its the perfect fluffy, easily digestible distraction. And we’re all happily lapping it up. Fantastic. Just wonderful.
