Seriously? A Horse in a Pool?!
Right, let’s just take a moment to process this. Because apparently, my faith in the collective common sense of humanity was already hanging on by a thread, and now its snapped completely. Were reporting on a horse. In a pool. Found wandering around someone’s backyard like its a Tuesday afternoon stroll. A horse! Do people not have fences? Do horses just… wander? I picture this majestic creature, all hooves and mane, leisurely paddling around in chlorine-treated water like its some sort of equine spa day.
And the best part? The resident had to rescue it. As if this isn’t precisely what should have been avoided in the first place! Honestly, I can just imagine the scene: “Oh, look, a horse! It’s swimming!” No, Karen, you need to call animal control before Fido starts trying to join the party and we end up with a full-blown aquatic farmyard situation.
Im not even mad at the horse. It’s just bewildered, probably thinking, Well, this is new. I’m mad at the utter lack of foresight required for this scenario to even happen. A horse! In a pool! The absurdity alone should be enough to fuel an entire comedy routine. But no, we have to report it like its a heartwarming tale of animal rescue. Please, somebody explain to me how our priorities haven’t completely evaporated yet.
