The Inevitable Ice Missile Incident: Because People Cant Be Trusted
Seriously? Are we still having this conversation? Every winter, like clockwork, I witness the same predictable disaster unfold. It’s a performance art piece, really, titled Human Negligence in Action. And the star of the show? A rogue chunk of ice launched from some unsuspecting (or perhaps deliberately reckless) vehicle roof, destined to shatter a windshield and ruin someones day.
Its not rocket science, people! Remove the ice! It’s literally a matter of seconds. Five minutes, tops, to scrape your car clean. But no, we have to prioritize warmth, convenience, and apparently, projectile weaponry.
I saw it happen just yesterday. A perfectly good pickup truck – a pickup, mind you, meant for hauling things and being generally responsible – was suddenly adorned with spiderweb cracks thanks to someones inability to wield an ice scraper. The driver looked genuinely shocked, as if the laws of physics had personally betrayed him.
It’s astounding how consistently we manage to ignore basic courtesy and common sense. Is it really that hard? It’s not about being a perfect citizen; it’s about preventing property damage and potential injury. But apparently, expecting people to just… think is too much of an ask these days. Just scrape your roof! Please! For the love of all thats holy, scrape your roof!
