This Colorado gentleman, bless his heart, apparently decided that mediocrity wasnt quite cutting it and needed to be rewarded for… what exactly? Buying a scratch-off ticket? That’s the pinnacle of ambition these days. Twenty thousand dollars initially, then an extra grand thrown in for good measure? It’s just delightful. Absolutely thrilling.
I mean, congratulations! You scratched a surface and something printed on paper said you were entitled to some money. Truly inspirational. Im sure your life is now irrevocably transformed by this windfall of… well, not exactly riches, but enough to buy a slightly nicer television maybe? Or perhaps a slightly less dented car?
It’s just fantastic how these stories are presented as if they represent some kind of triumph over adversity. Its the American dream! Except it’s built on a system designed to extract money from people who probably need it more than this lucky guy does, and then celebrate when someone gets a tiny fraction back.
