Pink Snow? Blame the Football, Naturally
Honestly, have you seen these photos? England blanketed in snow – beautiful, right? Except for this utterly ridiculous, lurid pink glow staining the skies. And of course, the internet’s collective genius has figured it out: its all thanks to football stadiums. Because naturally, meteorological phenomena now require a stadium explanation.
Apparently, the sodium lamps used to illuminate these hallowed (and overpriced) pitches are reflecting off the snow crystals, creating this bizarre pink hue. As if the constant barrage of commercialism and inflated ticket prices weren’t already polluting our atmosphere enough! Now were getting pastel skies as a bonus? Wonderful.
Its just…peak England, isnt it? Something genuinely lovely—a proper snowfall—is immediately tainted by the pervasive influence of professional sport. Cant even appreciate winter without knowing its being funded by overpriced hotdogs and screaming fans.
And you know what? I bet someone’s already drafting a proposal to install pinker lights so the effect is even more pronounced, just for “spectacle.” Dont get me started on the merchandise opportunities. Pink snow globe anyone? Just… fantastic. Truly.
