A Deer in the Basement? Seriously?
You know, Ive dealt with enough absurdity in my life. Taxes, reality television, pineapple on pizza… but a deer. In a basement. For two days! Apparently, somewhere in Wisconsin, someone woke up to find an ungulate guest had decided their foundation was prime real estate. And let’s be honest, the image alone is just…peak 2024.
Honestly, Im not even surprised anymore. We’ve become a society where squirrels raid bird feeders with military precision and raccoons are basically running neighborhood committees. A deer wandering into a basement? Its practically Tuesday. The sheer effort required to trap the creature – presumably involving nets, possibly tranquilizer darts (please tell me there weren’t tranquilizer darts), and likely several exasperated homeowners – just highlights how spectacularly things have fallen apart.
I can only imagine the conversations happening: “Honey, I think we have a problem.” A what kind of problem? A deer. In the basement. Apparently its been living there for two days. And then the frantic calls to animal control, because apparently adults are incapable of gently coaxing a panicked deer out of a dark, damp room.
It’s just… wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. The sheer lack of common sense on display here is breathtaking. Two days! What was it doing down there? Probably judging our interior decorating choices.
