Seriously? Are we this far gone? I’m hearing reports, and I can scarcely believe them, that a police department – somewhere in Utah, naturally, because why not add absurdity to the landscape? – has entrusted artificial intelligence with generating official police reports. And what did this technological marvel produce? A document stating an officer had been transformed into a frog.
A frog! As if policing wasnt already facing enough challenges – actual crime, public trust eroding faster than a sandcastle in a hurricane, the existential dread of body cameras – now we’re dealing with amphibian officers? I picture this report: Suspect apprehended. Officer Miller… appears to have developed unusually large eyes and an affinity for lily pads.
This isnt progress; its a spectacular display of hubris. Replacing human judgment, observation, and actual reporting with algorithms that clearly haven’t grasped the nuances of reality is just brilliant!
