Really? A Deer? Seriously?
So, we’re all just supposed to applaud this, are we? Firefighters, brave heroes risking life and limb… to rescue a deer from a frozen lake? I mean, honestly! While the world is facing actual crises – you know, climate change, political turmoil, the sheer existential dread of late-stage capitalism – our public servants are spending time and taxpayer money hauling Bambi off an ice sheet.
Because apparently, a deer wandering onto a frozen body of water is a priority above, say, fixing potholes or addressing the crumbling infrastructure thats probably contributing to whatever environmental factors led this creature to seek refuge on substandard ice in the first place?
I’m not saying the animal didn’t need help. But couldnt nature have taken care of it? A slightly embarrassing tumble, a quick scramble back to shore – thats natural selection at work! Instead, we get a photo op, a local news segment, and a hefty bill for everyone involved.
And I bet the deer is thrilled. Probably sitting there, plotting its revenge on humanity for interrupting its potentially educational experience in ice safety. Just wonderful. Really, just… fantastic. Another shining example of how we prioritize the utterly ridiculous. Bravo. Absolutely brilliant.
