Apparently, Illinois has a lot of time on its hands. A lot. Really? Were getting worked up about what people choose to emblazon across their vehicles?
The recent list of rejected applications is just a masterpiece of bureaucratic absurdity. IBPOOPN? ICUP? I’m genuinely struggling to comprehend the level of effort expended to deem these offensive. Were actual children tasked with this review? Did someone convene an emergency panel of linguists to analyze the potential for… gasp… causing offense?
Its not even clever! Its just… obvious. Are we truly surprised that people attempt juvenile wordplay when presented with a system designed to stifle creativity? This isn’t about protecting public decency; it’s about micromanaging personal expression and generating pointless headlines for state websites.
And the best part? The people behind these rejections probably drive cars with plates like ILFAN77 or something equally bland. Theyre policing everyone else’s attempts at a tiny bit of personality while completely lacking any themselves. Frankly, I expect more from a state that claims to value freedom and individuality. But then again, expecting anything reasonable from Illinois is a fools errand.
