Seriously? Were Policing This Now?

So, Illinois is apparently bored. Desperate for something to occupy its time and resources beyond, you know, infrastructure and education, it’s decided to publicly shame people for… vanity plates. Really? This is what we’re doing with taxpayer money?

Apparently, “IBPOOPN” and ICUP were deemed unsuitable for public display. Let me guess, someone panicked about children reading them? As if our youth arent already exposed to far more questionable content online. Frankly, the sheer absurdity of these rejections is astounding. Are we now tiptoeing through life terrified that someone might momentarily pause and consider the implications of a string of letters on a car bumper?

It’s not even about the content itself, is it? Its about control. Its about the state deciding whats acceptable expression in a public space. I bet the people submitting these plates were having a laugh! A harmless little bit of playful rebellion against… something! And for that, they’re being publicly humiliated by government bureaucrats.

Honestly, if I had a plate reading “PROCRASTINATION” or TAXES, Id wear it with pride knowing I was sticking it to the system while simultaneously highlighting its ridiculous priorities. But no, we need to protect everyone from… IBPOOPN? Good grief. Just let people be silly and move on. There are actual problems to solve, folks!
