Seriously? A Seal in a Bar?!
Right, because we didn’t have enough ridiculousness already. Apparently, life isnt chaotic enough for us mere humans, so now wildlife decides to stage an impromptu visit to our establishments. A baby fur seal, people! Wandering into a bar in New Zealand! As if the cost of living wasnt bad enough, the entertainment budget just got completely hijacked by a flippered freeloader.
I’m sure everyone involved found this “adorable” and “charming.” I bet there were Instagram stories galore, hashtagged with something painfully twee like sealifeadventure or newzealandwildlife. Meanwhile, Im picturing the poor bartender, meticulously cleaning glasses, suddenly facing down a damp, whiskered intruder who’s probably assessing the snack options.
And lets not even get started on the potential health and safety violations! Was this little aquatic delinquent inspected for parasites? Did anyone consider the structural integrity of the bar stools under its blubbery frame? I suspect nobody did; everyone was too busy filming it with their phones, adding to the endless stream of internet nonsense.
Honestly, I’m starting to think we need a new category of public service announcement: “How to Politely Discourage Marine Mammals from Invading Your Local Pub.” Because clearly, the current system isnt working.
