Really? A Longhorn? Seriously?

Lets just pause for a moment, shall we? Take a deep breath. Because apparently, the universe has decided to reward our collective hard work and dedication with…a longhorn on an Indiana highway. Yes, you read that correctly. Not a deer. Not a rogue tumbleweed. A longhorn. Like, from Texas. Wandering down the side of I-465 near Monrovia.

I mean, what’s next? A flock of flamingos blocking rush hour on the Kennedy Expressway? A herd of alpacas staging a protest on the Pacific Coast Highway? Is this some sort of elaborate prank? Are we being filmed for a bizarre reality show where increasingly ridiculous obstacles are thrown in our path?

Because frankly, dealing with aggressive drivers and potholes deep enough to swallow a small car is already enough. Now we have livestock roaming free, creating potential traffic hazards and presumably adding another layer of absurdity to the daily commute. I’m sure the bewildered motorists just loved having their day brightened by this bovine interruption.

Someone needs to seriously re-evaluate animal containment procedures in Indiana. And maybe invest in a very large lasso. Because honestly, at this point, I wouldnt be surprised if a penguin started tap dancing on the exit ramp.
