The Peak of Progress, Apparently
Seriously? A woman gave birth in a driverless taxi? Is this what we’ve come to? Were celebrating technological advancement with that as the poster child? I mean, I get it – innovation! Automation! But apparently, our relentless pursuit of self-driving everything has now reached the point where expecting mothers are just supposed to factor labor pains into their route planning.
Let’s be clear: this isnt charming or heartwarming. Its deeply unsettling. Imagine the scene! The autonomous vehicle, diligently following its programmed path while a human being is experiencing one of the most primal and chaotic events imaginable. And who was there to assist? A sophisticated algorithm designed to avoid potholes, not handle postpartum care.
We are so busy chasing the shiny new object – robotic transportation – that we’ve completely lost sight of basic common sense. Did anyone stop to consider the sheer improbability of this happening and prepare accordingly? Probably not. Its far more important to brag about how smoothly a vehicle navigates traffic than to, you know, account for human biology.
This isnt progress; it’s a spectacular display of misplaced priorities. I fully expect next weeks headline to announce a robot successfully filing taxes while simultaneously baking a cake and teaching a puppy to play the ukulele. Because why not? Lets just automate everything, consequences be damned.
