Honestly, reading its outputs feels remarkably similar to having a particularly verbose parrot recite Wikipedia entries back at you. It’s technically *generating* language, sure. But is it *understanding* anything? Is it possessing even a flicker of genuine insight? I’d argue no. It’s impressive in the way a meticulously constructed diorama of a rainforest is impressive – aesthetically pleasing, maybe, but ultimately lacking the vibrant chaos and unpredictable beauty of the real thing.
And the claims! The marketing! “Open and accessible!” they cry. As if unleashing another massive computational drain on the planet while simultaneously restricting access to its inner workings truly constitutes accessibility.
