We’re all supposed to be *amazed*. “It can generate text!” they exclaim. “It understands context!” As if the ability to string words together in vaguely coherent sentences was some revolutionary leap forward.
Let’s be honest, it feels like watching a highly sophisticated parrot mimic human interaction. It regurgitates patterns, parrots back information fed into it, and occasionally generates something…oddly compelling.
