**BREAKING: PONY ON THE LOOSE!**

In a bizarre incident that has left residents of Delaware in stitches, a playful pony was spotted prancing down the middle of a busy road, causing widespread delight and minor traffic congestion.

The pint-sized equine, estimated to be about two feet tall and sporting a sparkly mane that shone like a disco ball, was seen trotting along Delaware Road, seemingly oblivious to the commotion it was causing. Witnesses described the scene as “absolute chaos” as drivers pulled over to snap photos and kids squealed with excitement.

“I was driving to work when suddenly, out of nowhere, this adorable little pony appears, prancing around like it’s in a parade,” said local resident, Jane Smith. “I slammed on the brakes and grabbed my phone to get a video. I mean, who doesn’t love a pony in a party hat?”

The pony, identified as “Mr. Nibbles” by onlookers, appeared to be enjoying the attention, striking pose after pose as if modeling for a fashion magazine. Its tiny hooves barely touched the ground as it danced along, its tail bobbing up and down like a metronome.

“I tried to approach it, but it just playfully nuzzled my hand and kept on prancing,” said Delaware resident, Tim Johnson. “I think it was trying to get to the nearest ice cream truck – I mean, who wouldn’t want a pony-sized cone?”

As authorities struggled to corral the wayward pony, it led them on a merry chase, dodging cones and weaving through traffic cones like a pro.

“It was like it had a PhD in evasive maneuvers,” said Officer Emily Chen, who was tasked with safely capturing Mr. Nibbles. “We finally coaxed it into a nearby parking lot with promises of carrots and belly rubs.”

The pony was eventually returned to its grateful owner, who claimed it had escaped from a nearby petting zoo.

“I guess we need to work on Mr. Nibbles’ escape-proofing skills,” said owner, Sarah Lee, laughing. “But honestly, I’m just glad it brought so much joy to the community.”

And as for Mr. Nibbles? It’s reportedly already planning its next great escape – and possibly a career in showbiz.
