**BREAKING: CIVET IN CRISIS!**

In a daring rescue mission that will go down in the annals of Singaporean history, a team of fearless animal rescuers from the Singapore Animal Rescue Team (SART) sprang into action to save a distressed civet cat that had somehow managed to scale the dizzying heights of a 14-storey apartment building in the heart of the city-state.

Eyewitnesses described the scene as “absolute pandemonium” as the civet, later named “Whiskers” by the rescue team, became stranded on a balcony on the 14th floor, sending shockwaves of excitement throughout the building.

“I was just making my breakfast when I heard a strange meowing sound coming from outside,” said Mrs. Tan, a resident of the building. “I looked out the window and saw this tiny, fluffy creature clinging to the balcony railing for dear life. I thought it was a bird at first, but then I saw its pointy face and I was like, ‘Oh no, it’s a civet!’ I almost spilled my kopi!”

The Singapore Animal Rescue Team (SART) was alerted, and a team of highly trained rescuers, equipped with an arsenal of cat treats, ladders, and soothing music, was dispatched to the scene.

“It was a challenging rescue, to say the least,” said SART team leader, Mr. Raj, who has over 10 years of experience in rescuing animals from the most unlikely of places. “The civet was understandably traumatized, and we had to use all our skills and expertise to coax it onto the rescue stretcher. We even had to call in a team of wildlife experts to provide backup… and a few bags of catnip.”

After a heart-stopping 20 minutes, the team managed to safely secure Whiskers and make their way back down to the ground, where the grateful civet was released back into the wild, sporting a tiny rescue jacket and a hero’s welcome.

“It was a truly harrowing experience, but we’re just glad Whiskers is safe and sound,” said Mr. Raj, still shaking his head in amazement. “We urge all residents to keep a close eye on their pets and to never underestimate the climbing abilities of a determined civet. And also, please, for the love of all things fluffy, do not try to rescue a civet yourself. Leave it to the professionals… and a few bags of cat treats.”

The dramatic rescue has sent shockwaves throughout the community, with many residents expressing their gratitude to the brave rescue team.

“I’m just glad it wasn’t my cat who got stuck,” said Mrs. Tan, still chuckling about the ordeal. “But seriously, it’s amazing what those rescuers can do. I’m just glad Whiskers is home safe and sound… and hopefully, with a few less grey hairs.”
