**BREAKING: BISON ON THE LOOSE! WISCONSIN HIGHWAY DESCENDS INTO PANDEMONIUM**

MADISON, WI – In a bizarre incident that has left residents of Wisconsin scratching their heads, a rogue bison was spotted roaming freely on a busy highway in the heart of the state.

The behemoth beast, estimated to be approximately 10 feet tall and weighing a whopping 2,000 pounds, was seen casually strolling down I-94, sending shockwaves of excitement and terror through the morning commute.

“I was just driving to work, sipping my coffee, and suddenly there’s a bison in the middle of the road,” said local resident, Jane Doe. “I mean, I’ve seen deer before, but this was like something out of a National Geographic documentary! I was like, ‘Is this real life?'”

The bison, identified as “Bergy” by local wildlife experts, appeared to be completely unfazed by the presence of speeding cars and screaming motorists. In fact, it seemed to be enjoying the attention, posing for photos with passing drivers and even giving a few a friendly head-butt.

“I tried to take a selfie with him, but he photobombed me with a giant bison-sized hairball,” said another witness, John Smith. “I mean, I’ve never seen anything like it! I was laughing so hard I snorted my coffee out my nose.”

As authorities scrambled to contain the situation, Bergy continued to wreak havoc on the highway, causing at least 10 cars to swerve off the road and one enterprising entrepreneur to set up a makeshift “Bison-Sighting Tour” complete with souvenir t-shirts and bison-themed snacks.

“It’s like he’s the king of the road!” exclaimed Wisconsin Governor, Tony Evers. “We’re working closely with wildlife experts to safely escort Bergy back to his natural habitat. In the meantime, we urge all drivers to exercise extreme caution and not attempt to feed or pet the majestic creature… no matter how tempting it may be.”

When asked for comment, Bergy simply let out a mighty bellow and charged at a nearby news van, causing the reporter to flee for their life.

Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story, and in the meantime, try to contain your bison-induced excitement!
